The project "Champions - Learning and Sport" is a participative educational and health offer based on the peer-to-peer approach. Children and young people between the ages of 10 and 16 meet in a centrally located school building on school-free afternoons, work together on their homework, play interactive learning games or read. Afterward, they head to the gym or a playground for sports.
Older teenagers, the Junior Coaches, guide through the program (homework, snack and sports) with the goal of promoting the children holistically and awakening their interest in school topics through play. The Junior Coaches themselves learn various skills at an early age that are essential in later professional life. At the end of the school year, they also receive a certificate as proof of their commitment.
The project takes place in 8 cantons at 16 locations with around 40 participants.
