Specific support measures for those affected and their effect on the neuronal processes in the brain

The aim of the research project is to develop and evaluate a support concept that enables affected adolescents and young adults to work on missing arithmetic knowledge. The effectiveness of the support is to be evaluated within the framework of an intervention study, whereby the learning success on the one hand and the influence of the intervention on the neuronal changes in the brain on the other hand are to be surveyed.

The research team of the Children's Hospital of the University of Zurich is investigating whether missing arithmetic basics can still be successfully made up for in adolescence and adulthood by means of specific support measures.

On the other hand, it is being investigated whether specific support measures change existing neuronal processes in the brain of those affected.
